Meizu 16 and 16 Plus Specifications Leaked – Meizu True Flagships Coming in August
Bigger, Faster with Better Cameras and Affordable Price
Meizu 15 and 15 Plus launched just 3 months ago, but Meizu CEO Jack Wong alredy said that these were gift to their fans and Meizu True Flagship Meizu 16 and 16 Plus is coming later and will be their Top Phones. Today, 26th of June the same mr. Jack Wong revealed even more specs like Meziu 16 and 16 Plus Display and Battery Size along with price and the chip powering both devices.
Lots of fans were disappointed that Meizu 15 lineup didn’t include 18:9 Display or the highest grade chips like SD845 or Exynos 9810, but went for Exynos 8895 instead, whcih was in last year`s Samsung Galaxt S8.
Meizu 16 and 16 Plus Specifications and Features
Meizu are aware people demand faster phones and Jack Wong already stated a few days ago both Meizu 16 and 16 Plus will come powered by Snapdragon 845. More noteably, both phones will feature 18:9 Aspect Ratio 1080×2160 FullView Displays with COG (Chip-On-Glass) technology, but with different sizes. Meizu 16 Display will be 5.65, while its bigger brother 16 Plus will benefit from a massive 6.5-inches panel. That is a serious display size. Just for reference, Samsung S9+ is at 6.2-inches. Mr. Wong also implied that more battery size is needed for those displays and it will be available, but didn’t specify the exact size. Naturally, all Meizu flagships tend to be no more than 7.6mm thick, so I’m guessing 3500mAh for the 16 and around 3900mAh for the 16 Plus as rough estimates.
Meizu have always used a central fingerprint on pressure sensitive on-screen key for navigation and that is not changing with the 16 and 16 Plus but rather evolving. Deploying the latest Under-Display fingerprint technology will allow Meizu 16 and Plus to not only unlock the phone but use it for navigation! That is a first for any phone!
Meizu’s CEO also confirmed a better front and rear cameras than Meizu 15 along with the return of the Stereo Speakers, but there won’t likely be an NFC chip on board.
