News from ioutdoor

News from ioutdoor has reached us recently. It seems the company cares more about quality than they care about deadlines! They informed us the launch of ioutdoor‘s first high-end rugged smartphone will be postponed. When we reached out to out friends at ioutdoor they explained:

“We are very sorry to inform all the ioutdoor fans : The original designated launch date of  the #ioutdoorX was 15th May, but because our Android 8.1system GMS authentication is delayed to 14th of June, both the launch date and the date of the giveaway ending, have been changed to 14th of June. We sincerely apologise for this coming inconvenience to you. Anyone that pre-ordered will even get a $40 discount coupon. Thank you again for your support!”

What’s actually going on?

How refreshing to be informed about what’s actually going on. Too many times we have been given silly marketing reasons from brands, like “we need to perform another quality control (after production?)” or “we had to change the packaging”. Not ioutdoor though. They tell it like it is. I appreciate this honesty and it gives me even more hope of the ioutdoor X being an awesome rugged phone. And if I have to wait another 3 weeks before launch, to eventually get the phone they WANT it to be…  New Helio P23 chipset, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM … Well, I’ll gladly wait.

Enough ruggedness to come

For those fans of rugged devices and gadgets that don’t want to wait: Please keep an eye out on Wiredleaks.com as I’m working on a No.1 F7 Rugged Smartwatch review, I will introduce the first rugged smartphone from VKworld to you soon and there is a Blackview BV9000 on it’s way for a full hands-on review and an extended camera review. So, enough ruggedness to come.

And as for the ioutdoor X? Like the old saying goes: Good things come to those that wait, and I’m convinced it will be worth the wait. More to come as soon as we get an update! Or just visit the ioutdoor X website.
