Meizu Founder announces Meizu 16 Flagship release for August!
There's little doubt this is going to be the Meizu Flagship for 2018.
As I stated before: These are exiting days for Meizu. We already have the E3 launch coming up this month. And we already know the Meizu 15 and 15 Plus will launch soon. We have come to lear the Meizu 15 will come in three models: The Meizu 15, Meizu 15 Plus and Meizu 15 Lite three products. The screen size of the Meizu 15 and 15 Lite is 5.5 inches, while the screen size of the 15 Plus is 6.0 inches. So far we believed the Meizu 15 Plus will be Meizu’s flagship for this year. Boy, were we wrong!
About 24 hours ago Meizu Founder Huang Zhang dropped a bomb on the internet. Just being his usual self again he announces the Meizu 16 Flagship release for August! In fact he said: “The Meizu 15 series is a product that users will want to return to for many years but the Meizu 16 series is what he has created and its the future.” Wait what? So basically the 15 series as a test run and a peoples phone, while Huang Zhang’s personal vision is the Meizu 16. Later on in that same conversation he also proclaims: “there was simply not enough time”. And we also learned the 15 will sport a Samsung Exynos chipset.
I don’t know about you guys and gals… But to me it feels there’s definitely something boiling in the Meizu Kitchen. And it’s my firm believe we have to wait until August to find out exactly what. But it won’t be a boring time to wait considering the Meizu E3 is just around the corner. And we now know for certain the 15 series will come out before August! It wouldn’t make sense to launch the 16 before the 15 after all. As always we are going to do out utmost best to stay on top of recent developments. We’ll keep you posted!
