Umidigi’s latest budget killer: The Umidigi A1 Pro
A very interesting device for those on a tight budget
We just have received the full specifications of Umidigi’s latest budget killer: The Umidigi A1 Pro. The design of the A1 Pro is very 2018 with an 18:9 HD screen and a shimmering glossy back. On the backside we find a fingerprint scanner . And what appears to be a real dual camera too. According to Umidigi it’s a 13 megapixel camera with a f/2.0 aperture. The secondary camera is 5 megapixel. The front harbours the 5 megapixel selfie shooter. Around the 5.5 LCD display we find minimal bezels. And the 2.5D glass finishes the job. There’s no doubt: the Umidigi A1 Pro looks pretty.
Under the hood the device runs on the latest MT6739 SoC combined with 3 GB of RAM. The internal storage of 16GB is not the largest out there. However, Umidigi offers the possibility to configure the SD Card as internal memory. So it should be easily expandable. The fact is also sport Android 8 Oreo is another great thing about the Umidigi A1 Pro! The 3150mAh capacity battery supports 5V2A quick charge and uses a USB Type-C port to charge!
Looking at the specifications it seems the Umigi A1 Pro is a very interesting device for those on a tight budget. It comes with a lot of perks other devices in the low budget range won’t have. We have no price information at this point but judging by the chipset it won’t be breaking the bank. I just imagine a lot of Umidigi S2 and Crystal owners will frown upon the fact that the cheap budget model will get real dual cams while they’re stuck with a blurry circle created by software. But hey, I look at it the positive way, finally companies move away from the fake dual camera nonsense and giving their customers what’s promised. And credit where credit’s due: I have complained about the fact they didn’t listen to their customers before. So they deserve the cheers for improving!
