Mobile World Congress 2018 News: Leagoo S9 and Power 5
So just l promised yesterday also an update from the Mobile World Congress 2018. Today we will take a closer look at 2 new interesting devices Leagoo brought. Of course we’re talking about the Leagoo S9 and the Leagoo Power 5 that comes with an extremely large battery. Leagoo prouds itself that the capacity of the battery is actually 7000 mAh. That’s almost twice the capacity of an average 2018 smartphone.
The huge battery smartphone runs on a MediaTek P23 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and comes with 6GB of RAM. The screen is a 5.99 inch Full HD 1920 x 2160 pixels. It has a 13 megapixel camera on the back and also a 13 megapixel selfie camera on the front. Nothing really amazing you might say, but it should be obvious the unique selling point of the Leagoo Power 5 ofcourse is the 7000 mAh battery.
Now the other device Leagoo was very proud to show to the world in Barcelona is the Leagoo S9. It’s easy to take a look at the Leagoo S9 and quickly dismiss it as yet another iPhone X inspired phone with a notch. And of course we won’t deny the obious Apple inspiration, but… the Leagoo S9 is different. Just a quick glance at the specifications of the S9 makes it clear this is so far definitely the best budget phone with a notch out there.
To begin: the Leagoo S9 is powered by a 1.5 GHz MediaTek processor and comes with 4GB of RAM. Now the first thing you will notice is the great 5.85 inch FHD display that comes with a notch. It is a design choice one has to appreciate but since it’s more round than on the iPhone it fits in quite well. The camera’s on the back are using Sony sensors and a 13 MP and 2 MP resolution. The selfie camera on the front is using an 8MP OV Sensor. Now the back camera is also capable of taking 65MP Ultra HD photo’s which is stunning. What is also quite impressive is the fact that the Leagoo S9 (in comparison to other iPhone X inspired budget phones out there) runs on Android 8.1. The device is powered by a 3300 mAh battery and supports fast charging technology.
Now according to Leagoo we can also expect a, more high end. Pro version of the Leagoo S9. Knowing the decent and sturdy devices Leagoo builds that should be even more interesting than the regular version. As always we will do our utter best to get our hands on the Leagoo S9 in the near future to bring you a full hands on review. As for now, we will leave you with some pictures of this gorgeous smartphone. Then we will walk on. To the other boots on the Mobile World Congress. And maybe tomorrow we will make a quick stop at the ZTE stand. For more information on the Leagoo S9 you can always visit Leagoo’s own website
