Launch date set for new Meizu E3
Meizu seems to be on fire!
This is set out to be a really interesting year for Meizu-fans. Just a 1.5 month after releasing the amazing M6S budget model another Meizu phone is ready to be launched. The new Meizu E3 will be the next 18:9 full screen device with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that will be released. And even though solid rumours reached us the launch date is set for march 6th, there are no (official) pictures of the E3 yet. What we do know however is that the device is already registered with TENAA . Therefore we can give you an impression of it’s specifications.
We also can tell you about the rumours that there will be two different versions of the E3 available. One of them will be labelled E3-P and the other will be known as E3-G. Now, let me be clear that I might be wrong and the following is purely speculation. But there is talk of a Gaming phone to compete with the Razor Phone. This means the “G” could stand for Gaming. The “P”of the E3-P could be representing Photography, meaning this version of the E3 is focussed on camera’s.
Being a huge fan of the Meizu camera’s I’ve tested so far, I personally can’t even begin to imagine what that implies. I never had so many people asking me with which camera I shoot my pictures since I am using the Meizu M6 Note. So this promisses a lot.
Again, from experience with previous Meizu devices, the gaming experience was always very smooth already. So imagining a device solely focussed on the purpose of gaming, sounds more than interesting to me. No before we take a look at the specs we already (think to) know: Here’s some leaked pictures of the new Meizu E3.
The screen will probably be 5.99 inches with a 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and a 18:9 ratio (~403 ppi)
As far as we know know it will probably run Flyme OS 6.2 based on Android 7.1.2 The E3 will be powered by an octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 and and in the versions 6GB RAM/128GB ROM or 4GB RAM/64GB ROM. There is rumour of a primary Dual Camera (20 MP + 12 MP) altough that’s probably the E3-P version.
We will keep you updated on new information on this device as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime you can always look on Meizu’s own website for more news.
